The Alexis Arquette Family Foundation was created in memory of Alexis Arquette and is committed to the care and support of LGBTQ+ community. Beyond our ongoing partnership with The Alexis Project, we’ve also supported Translatin@ Coalition and other organizations working in the space. As we grow, we intend to also reflect Alexis’s belief that the arts can transform lives.
The Alexis Project is a partnership between The Alexis Arquette Family Foundation and Violence Intervention Program (VIP) at the LAC+USC Medical Center, and is an extension of VIP’s hallmark medical, mental health and support programs targeted at the LGBTQ+ population. Queer youth can find safety at the Alexis Project with specialized medical and mental health staff who understand their needs. We’re working to normalize health and mental health support for all LGBTQ+ patients. It is our hope to create a standard of care that will spark a national movement to improve access and services for all people without prejudice.
